Roadrunner Transportation Systems said it has acquired Batesville, Ark.-based truckload-service provider G.W. Palmer Logistics for about $2.5 million, plus up to $2.8 million in future earnings.

Last year, G.W. Palmer generated about $20 million in revenue, Roadrunner said.

“The G.W. Palmer acquisition enhances our truckload service offering in the South due to its concentration in temperature-controlled products,” Roadrunner CEO Mark DiBlasi said.

Roadrunner, based in Cudahy, Wis., is ranked No. 24 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
