Roadrunner Buys A&A Express

Roadrunner Transportation Systems said it has acquired South Dakota-based truckload carrier A&A Express for about $24 million.

Last year, A&A generated about $39.3 million in revenue, Roadrunner said.

The deal “expands our refrigerated capacity in key lanes and broadens our customer base,” said Roadrunner CEO Mark DiBlasi.

“A&A’s Midwest presence enables us to more effectively cross-sell our truckload services,” he said in a statement.

Roadrunner is ranked No. 32 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
