RK Logistics Opens Freight Brokerage Division

RK Logistics Group, a supply chain services firm based in California’s Silicon Valley region, has added freight brokerage to its service offerings. The company is setting up a new division to operate as an independent agent of Mode Transportation, a Dallas-based multimodal brokerage firm recently spun off from Hub Group.

RKG Mode will offer brokerage for truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, ocean and parcel shipments, along with transportation management services as part of Mode’s technology platform, according to a statement released on Oct. 4.

“Companies want reliable, cost-effective transportation capacity to meet the demands of today’s high-velocity supply chains,” RK Logistics Group President Rock Magnan said. “By joining the Mode Transportation network, we gain immediate access to reliable, quality capacity, industry-leading technology and the buying power of a large network.”

The new brokerage division will operate from an office in Summerlin, Nev.
