RGL Logistics Appoints New CEO, Chairman

RGL Logistics announced Joe Lemerond, senior vice president of transportation, will become the company’s CEO effective March 29.

Lemerond has been part of RGL’s leadership team for the past 2½ years.

He will succeed Bob Johnson, who will become the company’s chairman.

Johnson has been CEO for 16 years.

“As we continue to position RGL for ongoing growth in a rapidly evolving marketplace, we’re very excited about Joe taking over as CEO,” Johnson said in a release. “He understands the opportunities that exist for our company and has demonstrated both his knowledge of the marketplace and overall leadership skills during his time here at RGL.”

Green Bay, Wis.-based RGL has 370 employees with operations in several locations throughout Wisconsin. Its operating companies include: Leicht Transfer & Storage, Checker Logistics and RGL Specialty Services. — Transport Topics
