Radiant Logistics Promotes Bento to Chief Operating Officer

Radiant Logistics has announced that Joe Bento, the firm’s senior vice president of operations, will succeed Dan Stegemoller as chief operating officer of freight forwarding operations on June 30.

Radiant also chose Arnie Goldstein for the new position of chief commercial officer, after he served as chief operations officer at Service by Air Inc., which Radiant acquired last June.

Radiant ranks No. 48 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.

“Dan has served as the COO of our freight forwarding operations since Radiant’s platform acquisition of Airgroup back in 2006. His guidance, leadership and expertise have been instrumental to building the organization we enjoy today,” Bohn Crain, founder and CEO of Radiant, said in a statement.

Bento, with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, according to the statement, was chief sales officer for Seko Logistics, an executive at Eagle Global Logistics and president of global freight management for Ceva Logistics for more than 15 years.

Bento will oversee Radiant’s freight forwarding operations across North America. Tim Boyce continues as COO of brokerage operations.
