Quality’s 1Q Income Gains; Revenue Reaches Record

ank truck carrier Quality Distribution reported net income of $4.5 million or 23 cents a share in the first quarter, up from $2.9 million or 15 cents a year ago.

img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/Quality.gif" width=200 align=right>Revenue rose 10.9% to a record $178.8 million, the company said late Thursday.

Transportation revenue rose 6.8% from a year ago from “a strong rate environment and an increase in miles,” Quality said in a statement.

Quality Distribution is ranked No. 33 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
