Qualcomm Offers Low-Cost EOBR Model

Qualcomm Inc. said it has made its low-cost MCP50 electronic onboard recorder available for sale.

The company’s Qualcomm Enterprise Services subsidiary announced it was developing the MCP50 last March and that it would be priced at $799.

Many EOBR models cost $1,000 to $2,000, but this price range does not include a monthly service fee of $30 to $50 for each vehicle, the company said.

Qualcomm Enterprise Services also said it launched flexible new monthly pricing plans to buy the product.

The MCP50’s 7-inch screen offers e-logs and driver behavior and vehicle inspection data, QES said.
