he Public Citizen advocacy group once again criticized the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration for increasing the amount of time truck drivers are allowed to drive.

In a brief filed in federal court as part of its challenge to FMCSA’s revised driver hours-of-service rules, Public Citizen said the revision allows a “dramatic increase in weekly driving and working hours.”

The group said the truck-safety agency ignored studies that did not support the increases in driving time.
