Prestolite Electric Announces New Line of Alternators

Prestolite Electric, a global manufacturer and supplier of high-output alternators for original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket, announced it will begin producing a new line of Leece-Neville IdlePro Extreme 24V 275-amp brushless alternators.

Production, started in May, will be at its 350,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Arcade, N.Y.

The Arcade facility produces alternators and starters for Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles.

Leece-Neville IdlePro Extreme high efficiency-high output alternators deliver exceptional output at low engine speeds, in a lighter weight and lower maintenance package.

They provide the power to meet and maintain vehicle system voltage requirements, which results in better battery life and greater overall vehicle uptime, according to the Novi, Mich.-based company.
