Pilot Completes Acquisition of Maxum Petroleum

Pilot Flying J said Tuesday it has completed its deal to gain controlling interest in Maxum Petroleum.

Terms were not disclosed for the deal, first announced in late July, but it was for cash and Pilot’s contribution of Western Petroleum LLC into Maxum.

Maxum is one of the largest independent energy logistics companies in North America, selling and distributing over 1.3 billion gallons of refined petroleum products and serving more than 15,000 customers, Pilot said in a statement.

Pilot Flying J is one of the largest U.S. truck stop chains, with more than 600 locations across North America, providing more than 60,000 truck parking spaces and more than 4,000 diesel lanes, of which over 2,000 offer diesel exhaust fluid.
