Phillips Industries Cites 600% Growth in Electrical Harness Unit After Mexican Expansion

Phillips Industries’ electrical harness division, which expanded into Coahuila, Mexico, 10 years ago, has experienced 600% growth since expanding production of electrical harnesses into Mexico in 2008, according to the Santa Fe Springs, Calif., company.

The Mexican harness facility has increased from 90,480 square feet to 140,000 square feet, company officials said in a press release Nov. 8.

Phillips electrical harnesses are standard on more than 50% of trailers on the road in North America, company officials said.

Phillips Industries manufactures advanced electrical and air-brake system components as well as electronic solutions for communicating vehicle data to fleets and their drivers for the commercial truck and trailer industry.

The company said its products are standard on nearly 100% of Class 8 trucks and more than 50% of all trailers manufactured in North America.
