Petro’s Earnings, Revenue Jump for 2005

ruck stop chain Petro Stopping Centers said late Tuesday it earned $16.1 million last year, compared with $4.9 million a year earlier.

The chain’s revenue rose 41.1% to $1.84 billion, it said in a statement.

Petro said the revenue increase was because of a 32.5% in the average retail price of fuel.
