PeopleNet, ALK, Paragon Unveil Software Upgrades

PeopleNet Communications, ALK Technologies and Paragon Software said they have upgraded their trucking navigation software.

PeopleNet, a provider of motor carrier onboard computing and mobile communications systems, has added Yard Shaper, a feature that helps back-office personnel direct drivers to correct entrances and delivery docks.

“Efficiency is job number one, and the new route compliance and map details provide valuable information that help drivers save time by pinpointing exact arrival locations,” PeopleNet chief operating officer Brian McLaughlin said in a statement.

ALK Technologies said it has released PC Miler Worldwide 25.1, which has 7,500 new road miles in North America. The new version also includes highway routes in Mexico.

The maker of mileage and navigation software said the PC Miler 25.1 database has been updated with 220,000 truck-restriction enhancements in North America, as well as more than 109,000 new miles of road in Europe.

Paragon Software Systems said it has added an Arrival Time feature to its routing and scheduling software.
