Penske Logistics Names Jeff Jackson President

Succeeds Mark Althen, Who Is Retiring

Penske Logistics has named Jeff Jackson as its new president. A longtime Penske leader, Jackson has more than 28 years of experience in the transportation industry. He will succeed Marc Althen, who is retiring.

“We’re very pleased to have such an experienced operations leader like Jeff at the helm of our logistics business,” Brian Hard, president of Penske Transportation Solutions, said in a statement. “Jeff’s strong operations and leadership background, breadth of experience with customers, and industry expertise gives us great confidence as he takes on his new role.”

Penske Logistics is a Penske Transportation Solutions company headquartered in Reading, Pa., providing innovative supply chain and logistics solutions, according to a release. Among the solutions the company offers are: dedicated transportation, distribution center management, lead logistics, freight management, transportation management and freight brokerage.



Jackson has held numerous operations management and leadership roles with Penske Logistics, including as executive vice president of operations for dedicated contract carriage, senior vice president of operations for DCC, and SVP of operations for the Eastern Region. He also has held prior roles within Penske Truck Leasing, including area vice president of the Northeast and district manager in Tampa, Fla., and Memphis, Tenn. Before Penske acquired Rollins Leasing Corp., he also held positions as rental manager and branch manager in Atlanta, Jacksonville, Fla., and Tampa.

Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and was recently named a “top supply chain pro to know” by Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine.

Penske Logistics ranks No. 21 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
