Patriot Transportation’s 3Q Profit Improves

Patriot Transportation Holding said Wednesday its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 11.8% from a year ago as its transportation revenue improved.

Net income for the quarter ended June 30 rose to $3 million, or 31 cents a share, from $2.7 million, or 28 cents, a year earlier.

Revenue rose 8.1% to $35.7 million, while transportation revenue increased $1.9 million to $28.8 million.

The company’s transportation segment’s operating profit rose to $3.1 million, from $2.3 million.



Patriot operates tank carrier Florida Rock & Tank Lines and a real estate business.
