Patriot Transportation Reports 2Q Income, Revenue Gains

atriot Transportation Holding reported net income of $1.7 million or 56 cents a share for its fiscal second quarter ended March 31, up from $1.6 million or 52 cents a year earlier.

Transportation segment revenues were $30.3 million, up 10.4% over the previous second quarter. Fuel surcharges accounted for $1.4 million of the increase, the company said Thursday.

Excluding surcharges, revenue per mile increased 5%, Patriot said.



atriot operates tank carrier Florida Rock & Tank Lines, flatbed hauler SunBelt Transport and a real estate business.
