P.A.M. Transportation Services Appoints New Board Member

Franklin McLarty has been appointed to P.A.M. Transportation Services’ board of directors and will serve on its audit committee, the truckload carrier said.

McLarty is president of automotive retailer RML Automotive as well as executive vice president and board member of transportation firm McLarty Companies. 

“Franklin brings a wealth of financial and transportation-related experience to P.A.M.’s board. He will provide tremendous insight and a new perspective. We are pleased to have him,” P.A.M. Chairman Matthew Moroun said in a statement.

The company also announced it authorized a stock repurchase program in which it may acquire 500,000 share of its common stock. Its previous repurchase program was authorized by the board in 2011.



P.A.M. ranks No. 65 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
