Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan Buys Four North American Container Terminals

he Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan on Friday agreed to pay Hong Kong’s Orient Overseas $2.35 billion for four North American container terminals, Bloomberg reported.

Included in the deal are terminals in New York, New Jersey and two terminals in Vancouver, Bloomberg said.

As part of the deal, Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan will assume about $60 million of debt, Orient Overseas said in a statement.
