Fleet-management technology provider Omnitracs said it has appointed Kevin Haugh as vice president and general manager of its Roadnet Technologies subsidiary.

Haugh, who joined Roadnet in 2012, has more than 20 years of management experience in enterprise software, product development and marketing, Omnitracs said.

“Having led Roadnet’s product strategy, management and product marketing organizations, Kevin’s experience with and knowledge of the business made him an obvious choice to take on this executive leadership role,” David Post, Omnitracs’ chief operating officer, said in the Dec. 4 announcement.

Omnitracs acquired Roadnet in December 2013 for an undisclosed sum.

The business offers route-planning and fleet-management software primarily to the private-carrier market.

“I am excited about this new role and look forward to helping to further strengthen Roadnet’s position as a market leader, while diversifying the company’s product offerings to meet our customers’ evolving needs,” Haugh said.

Roadnet was previously led by the now-retired Len Kennedy, who was the company’s CEO prior to its acquisition by Omnitracs.
