Truck technology supplier Omnitracs announced several enhancements.at the 2014 Truckload Carriers Association annual convention.
Tire Pressure Monitoring, Trailer Tire Inflation Alerts and Exact Fuel applications have been added to Omnitracs Mobile Computing Platform 50. These applications help fleets reduce their overall expenses by addressing issues such as proper tire maintenance and fuel efficiency, the company said.
Omnitracs and Telogis announced the upcoming availability of NaviGo 5.1 In-Cab Navigation on Mobile Computing Platform 200 and 110. Set to be available this summer, the application targets improved driver safety, productivity and fuel efficiency benefits to shared Omnitracs and Telogis customer.
Omnitracs also announced the availability of ALK Technologies’ RouteSync and CoPilot FleetPortal for mobile computing platforms. Fleets using Omnitracs fleet management technology and ALK’s CoPilot Truck can help boost route compliance and reduce operational costs, the company said.
“With these new CoPilot Truck features, fleets can further enhance operational efficiency and profitability, while also improving driver satisfaction and retention.” Vikas Jain, vice president and general manager of software as a service at Omnitracs said in a statement.
