Old Dominion Buys Denver Carrier

Old Dominion Freight Line said it would purchase some assets of Bullocks Express Transportation, a Denver-based trucking company.

Bullocks generates about $17 million in sales annually through its network of eight service centers in five states, ODFL said in a statement.

The transaction includes the purchase of selected assets including all revenue equipment, certain office equipment, and all sales formation and records.

Friday, Old Dominion will combine Bullocks’ eight terminal operations and route structure with its network, increasing to 192 service centers. Through the acquisition, ODFL will gain a service center in Farmington, N. Mex.

Old Dominion Freight Line is ranked No. 20 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
