Oil Falls to Two-Week Low

Oil fell to near $98 a barrel in early trading Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, a two-week low, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures fell $1.20 to as low as $98.21 a barrel on the Nymex, matching the closing price of two weeks ago, Bloomberg said.

Oil has finished on the Nymex over $100 a barrel for most of the past two weeks, thought it slid below that level Thursday and Friday.

The Department of Energy will release its weekly report on national and regional diesel and gasoline prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
