Ohio River Bridges Tolls to Start On Dec. 30

Tolls on the renovated Kennedy Bridge, the adjacent, new Lincoln Bridge and the new Lewis and Clark Bridge 8 miles to the east connecting Indiana and Kentucky over the Ohio River will begin at 4 a.m. on Dec. 30, RiverLink spokeswoman Mindy Peterson announced.

The trio of bridges in the Louisville area are expect to carry more than 110,000 cars and trucks each day. The Kennedy Bridge handles six lanes of traffic on I-65 South while the Lincoln Bridge matches that for I-65 North. The Lewis and Clark Bridge, which opened to traffic Dec. 18, connects the Gene Snyder Freeway in Prospect, Kentucky, to State Road 265 in Utica, Indiana.

The all-electronic tolls range from $2 to $12. Trucks with transponders will pay $10.
