Ocean Carrier Executive Named 2006 IANA Chairman

he Intermodal Association of North America said late Wednesday it had elected Michael Wilson of ocean carrier Hamburg Sud North America as its chairman for 2006.

Wilson has more than 26 years of transportation experience, IANA said in a statement.

As vice president of equipment and logistics for Hamburg Sud, his responsibilities include all equipment, intermodal, and logistics related functions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, North Coast of South America and the Caribbean Basin.

“Mike Wilson has been a strong consensus builder during his years working with IANA and its diverse membership base,” IANA President Joanne Casey said in a statement.
