Norfolk Southern Opens Ohio Intermodal Terminal

Norfolk Southern Corp. said it opened a new intermodal terminal near Columbus, Ohio.

The $68.5 million terminal will allow the railroad “to significantly expand its intermodal business,” NS said in a statement.

The terminal is part of the Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park, one of the largest U.S. logistics complexes, Norfolk Southern said.

The terminal was designed with expansion capability and has adjacent property available for operations such as container yards. Six trains daily serve the terminal — four between Rickenbacker and Chicago, and two between Rickenbacker and Norfolk, Va.
