New Nabors Makes Trailers

After a nearly 10-year shutdown, production has resumed at the Nabors trailer plant in Mansfield, La. — but it’s really a new operation.

Nabors Trailers began operations in 1923 and stopped production in 1990. Nabors Trailers of America is a new company formed by investors from Louisiana and Tennessee who purchased the old plant, refitted it and have begun operations, using the old Nabors name because it has recognition in the industry.

The grand opening of the plant is scheduled for Feb. 22.

Products to be produced include platform, drop deck, chip van, folding pole, double deck, lowboy and live-floor trailers.
