Networkcar Names New President

Wireless vehicle management firm Networkcar said Wednesday it has appointed Keith Schneider president, effective this week.

Schneider most recently served as a vice president for Sprint Nextel Communications.

“This appointment is a key step in enabling Networkcar to continue implementing its strategic vision,” said Jeffrey Leddy, chief executive officer of Hughes Telematics, Networkcar’s parent company.

Networkcar’s wireless in-vehicle technology combines remote diagnostic systems with global positioning system-based vehicle-location technology.
