Mullen’s First-Quarter Income, Revenue Gain

anadian firm Mullen Group Income Fund said Friday it earned C$43.1 million or 86 cents per unit in the first quarter, up from C$26 million or 57 cents a year earlier.

Revenue rose 40% to a record C$245.9.

Trucking unit operating income revenue rose 59% to C$12.7 million, while trucking revenue jumped 72% to C$83.6 million.



Mullen, which also has oilfield operations, completed a series of acquisitions of transportation and oil-services companies in the first quarter. (Click here for previous coverage.)

Mullen is ranked No. 63 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
