Mobile Repair Shop Dickinson Buys Fleet Enterprises

Independent fleet management firm Dickinson Fleet Services has purchased Fleet Enterprises Inc. and its operations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Dickinson worked with its majority shareholder, Ridgemont Equity Partners, on the acquisition. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Indianapolis-based Dickinson provides on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers through more than 300 mobile units in 40 states. It also operates 15 company-owned maintenance facilities that offer accident repair, paint, refurbishment and technician services.

Troy, Mich.-based Fleet is a mobile business that provides on-site semi-truck and trailer maintenance, repair and documentation services. Fleet President Jim Parent and Executive Vice President John Morningstar will join Dickinson to lead the Mobile Trailer Repair unit.
