McLeod’s Sales Hit New Record in 2014

McLeod Software said its sales grew 30% in 2013 to the highest annual level in the company’s history.

It was the fourth straight record sales year for the Birmingham, Ala.-based company, which makes transportation management software. Last year also saw the largest new product releases in McLeod’s 29-year history, the company said in a Feb. 28 statement.

“We are seeing the better-managed transportation companies move to a platform that allows them to act quickly when market opportunities present themselves,” Tom McLeod, CEO of McLeod, said in the statement. “Our expanding sales levels are enabling expanded investment in product development, creating an ‘upward spiral’ for our customers.”

McLeod did not disclose its actual sales figures for the year.

The company unveiled a number of new products in 2013, including a customer relationship management system, a broker exchange and new mobile applications, it said.
