Mass. Trucking Co. Sentenced For Bribing FMCSA Inspector

A Massachusetts trucking company owner was sentenced to one year of probation and a fine of $1,000 for paying a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration safety inspector $1,000 to produce a false report.

Irfan Dushku, owner of Korca Enterprises Inc., based in Worcester, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts late last month. The company specializes in general freight.

Last year Dushku was charged in a one-count of bribery of a public official. According to records, Dushku paid $1,000 to an FMCSA safety investigator in May 2013 in an attempt to influence the investigator to produce a false compliance review.
