Marten Transport Names New President

Refrigerated truckload carrier Marten Transport said Wednesday that Timothy Kohl will become the company’s president, effective June 2.

Randolph Marten, the current president, will retain his posts of chairman and chief executive officer, the company said in a statement.

Kohl, who joined Marten in November, has more than 20 years’ experience in the transportation industry. He was previously at Knight Transportation, where he was president from January 2004 to October 2007, and secretary from October 2000 to October 2007.

Prior to his employment with Knight, Kohl was worked at Burlington Motor Carriers, serving as its vice president of human resources, and also had the same title with J.B. Hunt Transport Services.



Marten Transport is ranked No. 51 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
