Mack, UAW Extend Contract to December

Mack Trucks and the United Auto Workers have agreed to extend the terms of union contracts that were to have expired at midnight Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.

The new deadline was set for midnight Dec. 14, the second time the contracts have been extended for 2,200 workers represented by UAW Local 677 in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Florida, AP said, citing the company.

Mack is a unit of Volvo AB Volvo.
