Love’s Travel Stops to Add 10 CNG Stations

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores said it will add 10 compressed natural gas fueling stations at existing locations in Oklahoma.

The CNG stations will be built and operated in cooperation with Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp.

“We are pleased at Love’s to join with Chesapeake Energy to add CNG fueling stations at a time when demand is growing for natural gas as a transportation fuel in Oklahoma,” Jenny Love Meyer, Love’s director of communications, said in a statement. “These new CNG stations will give Oklahoma more than 50 of them,” she wrote in the statement.

Love’s opened its first public CNG fueling station earlier this year at its store in Kingfisher, Okla., where several companies, including UPS Inc., operate CNG fleet vehicles.
