Link Manufacturing, a producer of specialty engineered suspensions and Tier 1 supplier to major heavy-duty commercial truck manufacturers, announced its plan to begin construction of a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing and training facility.

It is anticipated to be completed in December.

The new Plant 4 facility will be located on Link’s Sioux Center, Iowa, campus and connected with its Plant 3 building.

Link introduced its Cabmate premium cab suspension in 1980.

The company noted the new space will allow it to add and reconfigure manufacturing cells to accommodate its new, broader product line. Also the Plant 4 space will help Link as it turns more of its attention to engineering and manufacturing suspension control technologies.

In addition to its Sioux Center headquarters, Link maintains engineering and manufacturing facilities in Nisku, Alberta. The company currently employs more than 200 people and the expansion is expected to result in the hiring of up to 50 additional workers. — Transport Topics
