Leading Economic Indicators Index Increased 0.3% in June

The index of U.S. leading indicators rose in June, showing the economy continues to gain momentum following a slowdown at the start of 2014.

The Conference Board’s gauge, a measure of the outlook for the next three to six months, increased 0.3% after a revised gain of 0.7% in May, the New York-based group said.

The median forecast of 49 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for a 0.5% advance.
