Landstar to Repurchase 2 Million Shares

Landstar System said Monday it will buy back up to an additional 2 million shares of its common stock.

Landstar said it bought the remaining 1.3 million shares left under its previous repurchase program in July and August.

The company has 53.8 million shares outstanding.

Landstar is ranked No. 12 on the 2007 Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
