Landstar System awarded a new truck to driver Dennis Bramblett as part of a giveaway recognizing safe owner-operators.

The 2021 Landstar All-Star Truck Giveaway was held virtually this year. Bramblett, from Hannibal, Mo., was one of four owner-operators who were picked as finalists for the competition. He ultimately won a 2022 Volvo VNL64T truck.

“This is the 10th year we’ve awarded a truck to an eligible Landstar Million Mile Safe Drivers and Roadstars,” Landstar CEO Jim Gattoni said during the event. “This giveaway is our way of celebrating their success, service and above all their outstanding safety records.”

Landstar selected the four finalists June 28. The others were Bill Higgins from Catawba, S.C.; Lisa Ringelstetter from Plain, Wis.; and Dale Burke from Strongsville, Ohio. They each walked away with a Comdata fuel card worth $500.

The finalists were randomly drawn from a pool of 1,102 active drivers who are recognized by the company for their high levels of safety, productivity and excellence in customer service. They already are recognized as Million Mile Safe Drivers, with some earning the Roadstars distinction, the company’s highest honor for owner-operators.

The winner was determined by each of the finalists selecting one of four boxes. Whoever selected the box with keys in it was awarded the truck. The event was live-streamed and videos were posted to social media.
