Knight’s Income, Revenue Gain in Second Quarter
ruckload carrier Knight Transportation said late Wednesday its net income for the second quarter was $15 million or 26 cents a share, compared with $11.4 million or 20 cents a year earlier.
Knight's revenue rose 27% to $256.1 million, the company said in a statement.“With 20% growth in revenue before fuel surcharges and an operating ratio of 79.3%, this ranks as one of our better quarters in recent memory," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Knight.
