Knight’s 4Q, Full-Year Income Improve

Knight Transportation’s fourth-quarter profit rose slightly from a year ago, while revenue improved by more than 8%, the truckload carrier said.

Net income rose to $17.7 million, from $17.5 million a year earlier. Earnings per share were unchanged at 22 cents.

Revenue rose 8.1%, to $242.3 million, Knight said late Wednesday.

Full-year net income rose to $64.1 million, or 85 cents per share, from $60.2 million, or 74 cents, in 2011. Revenue rose 8.1%, to $936 million.
