Kenworth Truck Co. announced its proprietary AG400L tandem rear suspension now is standard equipment for the Kenworth T680 on-highway flagship.

The disc brakes-compatible Kenworth AG400L is rated at 40,000 pounds. Its cost-effective, four-bag suspension especially is suited for over-the-road and pickup-and-delivery applications. The AG400L provides a smooth ride through a proven trailing arm design and is easy to service, according to the Kirkland, Wash.-based company.

“The suspension is also virtually maintenance-free with few moving parts, and there are no periodic adjustments or lubrication required,” Kenworth Marketing Director Kurt Swihart said in a statement.

Kenworth, a unit of Paccar Inc., also offers other proprietary rear suspensions and a front air-ride suspension.
