KeepTruckin launched a solution to help fleets save money on fuel and operate more efficiently, the company announced June 9.

The Fuel Hub is a technology solution that identifies actionable cost saving measures by using high-frequency telematics data and artificial intelligence to analyze driver and vehicle efficiency. It then creates one consolidated view of consumption across an entire fleet.

“The Fuel Hub is the first AI-driven fuel efficiency program,” KeepTruckin CEO Shoaib Makani said in a statement. “Our 90,000 customers spent more than $5 billion on fuel last year. We know that with deeper context and visibility into the factors that affect fuel consumption, we can help our customers take a precise approach to manage their fuel spend and reduce waste, improving their bottom line while also reducing their carbon footprint.”

KeepTruckin said the service can help fleets save up to 10% on fuel.

The fleet management technology company also highlighted that beyond the business upside it can help with environmental sustainability. It noted the trucking industry is responsible for 8% of the total annual carbon emissions in North America.

Those carriers using the service can review the collected data and what trends and outliers the system has detected. They can also benchmark performance against everyone else in the KeepTruckin network to determine the fuel efficiency profile of a driver or vehicle relative to their peers. Transport Topics
