July Import Prices Rise on Higher Oil Costs

he price of goods imported to the United States rose 0.9% in July on higher oil costs, the Labor Department said Friday.

The increased followed an unchanged level from June. Excluding petroleum, July prices decreased 0.1%.

Economists expected prices to rise 0.8%, Bloomberg reported.
