Jobless Claims Unchanged for Week

Initial jobless claims were unchanged last week from a week earlier, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Claims for the week ended Saturday held at 384,000, Labor said.

The four-week moving average, a less volatile measure, rose to 378,250, from 376,000.
 
The number of people continuing to collect unemployment benefits rose 82,000, to 3.139 million for the previous week ended June 14.
