Jobless Claims Fell Last Week

Initial jobless claims fell by 16,000 last week, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Claims for the week ended Saturday fell to 614,000, about in line with economists’ forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The four-week moving average, a less volatile measure, fell to 615,250, from 618,000 a week earlier, Labor said.
