J.B. Hunt Reports Record First-Quarter Income

ruckload carrier J.B. Hunt Transport Services earned a record $49 million or 31 cents a share, up from $47 million or 29 cents a year ago.

img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/jbhunt.gif" width=120 align=right>Revenue rose to $780 million from $709 million, the company said Monday. Operating income rose 3% to $81 million.

Truck segment revenue rose to $250.8 million from $231.9 million. Net revenue per truck per week excluding fuel surcharges rose to $2,959 from $2,945.



ntermodal segment revenue rose to $323.9 million from $287.6 million.

The company’s dedicated contract services segment’s revenue rose to $210.9 million from $194.7 million.
