Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc., a distributor of low-cab-forward medium-duty trucks, said it recently delivered its 500,000th truck since the Isuzu brand entered the North American market in 1984.

The manufacturer sold the milestone N-Series truck to Farmers Home Furniture, a home-furnishings retailer based in Dublin, Georgia.

Farmers Home Furniture has purchased 235 Isuzu trucks since 1998, CEO Phillip Faircloth said in the May 14 announcement.

“Our drivers like them because they’re so maneuverable and they offer a high-cab design with a panoramic view that makes them easy to drive,” he said. “From a company perspective, we like them because of their reliability, long-term dependability and fuel efficiency.”

Isuzu’s diesel-powered trucks range from Classes 3-5 and are available in both standard and crew cab models and in a range of wheelbases to serve a variety of applications. Isuzu also offers a gasoline-powered model.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc., headquartered in Anaheim, California, is a business unit of Tokyo-based Isuzu Motors Ltd.
