The four trucking companies owned by Intrenet Inc. (INET) were told Tuesday morning they will be shut down as soon as possible consistent with an orderly liquidation.
A fifth subsidiary and the corporation's smallest, INET Logistics, will remain in business for the present.
Based in Milford, Ohio, the corporation owns one dry van truckload and three flatbed companies.
A corporation official said the four carriers will deliver the freight they currently have in their systems, but will not accept any more.
The four trucking companies are flatbed carriers Advanced Distribution System of Columbus, Ohio; Eck Miller Transportation Corp. of Rockport, Ind.; Roadrunner Trucking of Albuquerque, N.M.; and dry-van carrier Roadrunner Distribution Services, also in Abuquerque.
