Internet Truckstop Launches Messaging Feature

Freight matching service Internet Truckstop has introduced a messaging service for users of its website.

The ITEX Messaging Service, which Internet Truckstop said is the first in the load board industry, allows users to send text messages to other users who are on the site at the same time, the company said in a statement Thursday.

The service is available free of charge to all Internet Truckstop members, it said.

“ITEX adds a convenience and immediacy of sending and receiving text messages directly to individuals using the Internet Truckstop system allowing them to negotiate without ever picking up a phone,” Leigh Foxall, director of freight matching at Internet Truckstop, said in the statement.
