International Names Kapur President

nternational Truck & Engine Corp. has named Ford Motor Co. executive Dee Kapur president of its truck group, the company announced Sept. 2.

Kapur, who takes the post immediately, succeeds Steven Keate, who left International in April, having held the job since June 1999.

“Dee has accomplished much in his career in the automotive and truck markets and has developed expertise in the areas of product quality and reliability and value engineering,” said Daniel Ustian, chief executive officer of Navistar International Corp., the truck maker’s parent company.

Ustian, who acted as president during the search for Keate’s replacement, said in a company statement that Kapur’s experience “fits well with the competencies of our team of leaders in the truck group.”
